Description:
1882 Liberty Nickel Pattern in Copper
Judd-1691, PR65 Brown
1882 5C Liberty Head Five Cents, Judd-1691, Pollock-1893, High R.6, PR65 Brown PCGS. The obverse appears the same as the regular die of 1883, but it is actually struck from an obverse die with a slightly different arrangement of the stars. The reverse is as the first variety of 1883, the "nickel without CENTS." Struck in copper with a plain edge. The sharply struck devices accent the evenly mellowed reddish-brown color seen over each side. The only surface distractions are several specks of green verdigris around the right side of the wreath on the reverse. Population: 1 in 65 Brown, 0 finer (12/11). (PCGS# 62096)
