Description:
1897 Barber Dime, PR68 Cameo
None Certified Finer
1897 10C PR68 Cameo NGC. Of the 731 proofs struck in 1897, this is one of the finest. The fields are deeply mirrored, as expected, and the devices noticeably frosted. The combination gives the desired cameo effect across both sides. Light golden and ice-blue toning is seen over each side, speckles here and smoothly textured there. An interesting, high-grade type piece. Census: 3 in 68 Cameo, 0 finer (6/12).(Registry values: N4719) (PCGS# 84881)
