Lovely 1852 Proof Restrike Half Cent1852 1/2 C Restrike, Small Berries PR62 Brown PCGS. B-2, R.5. This first restrike example is easily identifiable by the doubling on the T in CENT. An interestingly colored specimen, both sides display copper-brown patina with lilac tinged undertones on the reverse and softer, blue colored accents on the reverse. The devices are sharp, and the eye appeal is strong for the grade. According to Breen (1983), these restrikes may have been produced between 1856 and 1858. Encapsulated in an older green label PCGS holder. (NGC ID# 26ZT, PCGS# 1317)
