Description:
1889 1C PR65 Red PCGS. Gem Red proof Indian cents of the 1880s are more elusive than generally thought. This piece is one of only 15 such at PCGS, with eight finer (12/11). The color is a beautiful blend of saffron and mint-green, well within the Red context. A few tiny flecks appear under a loupe but are undistracting. One for the color enthusiasts, certified in a green-label holder.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 2732, PCGS# 2356)
