1907 $10 LIBERTY
Dazzling PR 64 1907 Liberty Ten Dollars1907 PR 64 PCGS. This final year Coronet eagle is very elusive as a proof, with just 74 pieces struck and only a little more than half of the mintage surviving today. High grade examples are especially elusive. This is an attractive, deeply reflective specimen that shows virtually no field-to-device contrast, a common trait for proofs struck during the early 1900s. The surfaces are a bright yellow-gold color with little or no haziness, and clusters of wispy hairlines on each side of the portrait. The reverse appears to be virtually as struck. Population: 15 in 64, 7 finer (11/98). (NGC ID# 28GE, PCGS# 8847)
