Description:
NGC 1884 PR 66 Cameo. A rare issue as a proof and seldom encountered in the better grades when found. This is the finest proof certified by either grading service, and it is a visually stunning coin. The deeply reflective fields show evidence of heavy die polishing, and faint striations can still be seen in the reverse fields. The devices have a fair amount of frost on them, providing a moderate white on black cameoed appearance. The only surface imperfection that could be used as an identifier for pedigree purposes is a small alloy spot on the reverse between the bottom two arrowheads. Unmatchable quality. (NGC ID# 2887, PCGS# 7910)
