Description:
Lovely Two-Toned 1898 PR 66 Quarter Eagle
1898 PR 66 Cameo NGC. An attractive, solid gem specimen that has thick, frosted luster on the devices set against watery fields. Just a whisper of milky patina coats either side and the only visible blemishes are a couple of microscopic marks below Liberty's chin. The mintage for this century-old issue is just 165 proofs, with survivors including a couple dozen pieces of equal or finer quality. (NGC ID# 288M, PCGS# 7924)

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
