1912 Matte PR66 Red and Brown Cent1912 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. Ex: Eliasberg. This is one of the few matte proof cents that can boast a long and significant pedigree. Described in the Eliasberg catalog as "One of the finest seen." The surfaces shows the granular texture expected of a matte proof, but each side also is covered with a plethora of colors, ranging from pastel blue to dark red and purple. There are a couple of small defects on the holder on the reverse, but that side appears free from any surface impairments. Each side appears to be free from carbon. Housed in an old green holder.
