Description:
Sharp 1878 7TF Reverse of 1878 Select Dollar
1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1878 PR63 PCGS. Many of the estimated 250 to 300 proofs were likely melted (David Bowers, 2006). Light champagne-gold patination bathes both sides of this lovely Select proof. An attentive strike virtually completes the design elements. A few faint hairlines precludes a higher grade, but still a great coin for the grade.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 2573, PCGS# 7312)
