1861 $1 PR66 PCGS. CAC....
Elegantly Toned PR66 1861 Seated Dollar1861 $1 PR66 PCGS. CAC. While the 1861 Seated dollar enjoyed a relatively high proof mintage of 1,000 specimens, that figure was down from the year before, and the denomination would not return to so high an output for the rest of the decade. This is a richly toned Premium Gem representative of the proof 1861 Seated dollar with roughly concentric toning that has gold-to-peach interiors, blue-violet outer toning, and a touch of orange at the obverse rims. Reflectivity is generous, the strike and preservation excellent. A worthy coin in all regards. Population: 3 in 66, 1 finer (1/13).
