Deeply Mirrored and Deeply Toned Gem Proof 1863 Quarter1863 25C PR65 PCGS. Even fewer quarters were struck in 1863 than in 1862 with just 191,600 business strikes and 460 proofs produced. This is a deeply mirrored coin that has equally deep blue and violet toning over each side. The devices are crisply defined, and when closely examined with a glass one also notices thick mint frost on the devices. Exceptional eye appeal and obviously original. Population: 11 in 65, 7 finer (10/03). (#5559) (NGC ID# 23WR, PCGS# 5559)
