Description:
1878 25C PR64 NGC. CAC. A mere 800 proof Seated Liberty quarters were minted in 1878, as the Mint devoted most of its resources to the first year of Morgan dollar production. When examined closely under a light source, this coin displays an attractive array of colors. The contrast is very pleasing and the majority of the fields remain highly reflective. Census: 56 in 64, 28 finer (12/12).(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 23XA, PCGS# 5579)
