1869 5C PR66 Cameo PCGS....
Beautifully Toned 1869 Shield Nickel1869 5C PR66 Cameo PCGS. This is the second die noted in Breen, the date widely spaced but close to the ball ornament, as in the Garrett-Johns Hopkins coin. Light champagne-pink patina on the obverse accents unmarked and well-contrasted surfaces, one of the nicest of perhaps 600 made. The reverse shows pastel pink, gold, and jade patina, a really pretty coin. Population: 9 in 66 Cameo, 1 finer (11/11).(Registry values: P2) (PCGS# 83823)
