Description:
1882 Trade Dollar, PR64
Deeply Toned and Reflective
1882 T$1 PR64 NGC. Beautiful patina is the chief asset of this near-Gem proof 1882 Trade dollar, one of only 1,097 pieces struck 131 years ago. The obverse has rose-red shades prevailing, while blue to purple dominates the reverse, and both sides display equally splendid eye appeal. The surfaces are sharply struck and lustrous underneath the deep toning, with few signs of contact. An excellent type coin for color aficionados.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 27YU, PCGS# 7062)

Needless to say I was overwhelmed by the results of the auction and I truly believe it was Jill’s efforts in promoting and displaying the piece that brought in the extra value.
