2000-P $1 Cheerios MS67 PCGS.... (Total: 2 coins)
Impressive 2000-P 'Cheerios' Dollar, MS672000-P $1 Cheerios MS67 PCGS. FS-901, but incorrectly listed as FS-401 on the holder. In 2000 General Mills conducted an advertising campaign, placing 5,500 2000-P Sacagawea dollars in random packages of Cheerios cereal products. Produced from a different reverse hub, the die had heightened definition of the eagle's tail feathers, with a raised central line, rather than incuse on regular issue pieces. Paul Gilkes wrote about the different reverse in Coin World, July 4, 2005.
This Superb Gem exhibits lovely golden surfaces with reflective luster. A gold strike imparts exceptional design definition and the surfaces are nearly flawless. Also included is a 2000 "Cheerios" Lincoln cent, MS64 Red PCGS, that was part of the same advertising campaign. Also included is the original package that housed the Cheerios dollar inside the cereal box.
