Lofty MS66 1840 No Drapery Dime1840 10C No Drapery MS66 NGC. The No Drapery, Stars Obverse subtype of the Seated dime was used at the Philadelphia Mint for only three years, 1838-1840. The 1840 boasts the lowest mintage of this trio with 981,500 pieces and, while somewhat available in lower grades, this issue is a prime rarity in Gem condition. This silver-gray example is sharply struck throughout with a rich endowment of mint frost. The reverse is well preserved, and the obverse field has only wispy grazes.
