Description:
1864 10C MS64 PCGS. Fortin-102. This near-Gem has bright, nearly white surfaces that exude radiant luster. Except for the upper left (facing) part of the wreath, the design elements are boldly impressed. A few minuscule marks on Liberty's cheek and in the fields of both sides preclude a higher grade. A great example of a challenging issue with a business strike mintage of just 11,000 pieces.
Ex: The Tim Cook Collection of Liberty Seated Dimes (Heritage, 5/2005), lot 6484.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 239M, PCGS# 4639)
