Description:
Important Mint State 1848 Seated Dollar
1848 $1 MS62 PCGS. Attractively toned in gold, dove-gray, and apple-green shades. This nicely struck piece has ample subtle luster, and although the fields have their share of small marks, none singularly detract. Only 15,000 pieces were struck, and since only a handful of individuals actively collected silver dollars in 1848, the issue is a significant rarity in Mint State. Population: 11 in 62, 6 finer (6/06).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 24YK, PCGS# 6935)
