Description:
1849 Seated Dollar, MS62
Rare Issue in High Grade
1849 $1 MS62 NGC. From a nominal mintage of 62,600 pieces, the 1849 Seated Liberty dollar is an elusive date in Mint State grades. This pleasing MS62 example displays well-detailed design elements and a dusky patina of gray, gold, and blue. A scattering of minor contact marks on both sides explains the grade. Census: 17 in 62, 36 finer (8/12).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 24YL, PCGS# 6936)

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
