Description:
1840-O H10C Drapery AU55 PCGS. Unlike its No Drapery counterpart, the 1840-O Drapery is an elusive issue that becomes undeniably rare in grades approaching Mint State. A wonderfully original example, the obverse displays rich green, violet, and golden-brown patina. The reverse, while somewhat lighter over the center, displays deep emerald-green and golden-tan colors. The strike is bold, and there are no unduly bothersome distractions on either side. Population: 5 in 55, 2 finer (4/03). (NGC ID# 232X, PCGS# 4327)
