Description

1840-O H10C Drapery AU 55 PCGS. Ex: Eliasberg. Unlike its No Drapery counterpart, the 1840-O Drapery is an elusive issue that becomes undeniably rare in grades approaching Mint State. A wonderfully original example, the obverse displays mottled orange-russet patina. The reverse, while somewhat lighter over the center, displays similar colors around the periphery. The strike is bold with the exception of the lower obverse denticles, but there are no unduly bothersome distractions for the grade. (NGC ID# 232X, PCGS# 4327)
