Description:
1842-O H10C MS63 NGC. Scarce in all grades, the 1842-O rates along with several other Stars Obverse O-mints in mint state rarity, exceeded only by the 1840-O, 1844-O, 1853-O No Arrows, and, of course, the low mintage 1846 from Philadelphia. The reflective fields are enhanced with a mottled coating of steel-blue toning and the strike is unusually sharp for this often-weak issue. Just a few minor field marks on each side serve to limit the grade.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 2333, PCGS# 4331)
