Description:
1859 H10C MS65 NGC. The 1859 is popular as a curious single year subtype. Paquet's rendition of the Seated Liberty differs in subtle ways from the prior year's motif, and the stars have hollow centers. The Legend Obverse type was introduced in 1860, which also replaced the slender wreath of the reverse. This brilliant and unblemished Gem has reasonable luster and a meticulous strike. Census: 23 in 65, 36 finer (11/05).(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 233W, PCGS# 4371)
