Richly Toned and Rare 1860 Transitional Half Dime, MS66 NGC1860 H10C Transitional MS66 NGC. Judd-267. Pollock (1994) estimates that 100 examples of this curious issue were produced. The 'hollow stars' type of 1859 is paired with the cereal wreath reverse of 1860, and the statutory inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA does not appear on the coin. This lovely sea-green and tobacco-brown Gem displays the diagnostic obverse die scratch from the left base of Liberty's rock to the rim.
