Colorful Gem 1868-S Half Dime
1868-S H10C MS65 NGC. This lustrous Gem example displays splotches of cobalt-blue and lilac-gray patination resting over well preserved surfaces. The design elements are precisely struck, although the mintmark has low relief, as it was lightly entered into the die. Scarce in Mint State, and rare at the MS65 level. Census: 16 in 65, 4 finer (4/07).(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 234P, PCGS# 4393)
