Description:
Rarely Seen Gem 1843 Quarter
1843 25C MS65 NGC. While the 1843 is not one of the more highly respected issues in the Seated Quarter series, it is, nevertheless, conditionally scarce in Uncirculated grades. This is a bright and lustrous coin that is brilliant throughout except for a dash of light hazy gray patina in the center of the obverse. Fully struck in all areas, there are very light roller marks on the obverse and a couple of tiny reeding marks in the lower right obverse field--these being the only mentionable imperfections on this Gem. Population: 2 in 65, 0 finer (7/02). (NGC ID# 23SR, PCGS# 5404)
