Description:
1848 25C XF45 NGC. From an original mintage of only 46,000 pieces, the 1848 is a moderately scarce issue in the Seated quarter series. This example displays lovely, originally toned surfaces that display a rainbow of colors near the obverse peripheries, and greenish-tan patina near the reverse borders. Typically boldly struck and lightly worn, with a few small contact marks in the obverse fields. An attractive example, for the assigned grade level.(Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 23SZ, PCGS# 5412)
