1862-S 25C XF45 PCGS. The low mintage was 67,000 coins at the height of the Civil War. This Choice XF piece shows charcoal-gray device accents with silver-gray fields that are relatively unabraded overall. Note the enormous S mintmark, a larger font than the denomination QUAR. DOL. just below. Population: 8 in 45, 25 finer (8/11). MRB 20.(Registry values: P6) (NGC ID# 23TW, PCGS# 5457)
