Description:
1863 25C MS64 PCGS. The walnut-brown and gunmetal-gray toning is rich on the obverse, and delicate across the reverse. This well struck Civil War near-Gem is well preserved and has the look of a higher grade, perhaps held back by slightly subdued obverse luster. A small strike-through depression (as made) rests beneath star 9. Population: 16 in 64, 22 finer (10/08).
