Description

Important MS64 1867 Quarter
Tied for PCGS-Finest

1867 25C MS64 PCGS. Just 20,000 pieces were struck for this post-Civil War Seated quarter issue, and few of those coins are available today in Mint State. This near-Gem is among the precious exceptions, one of just two MS64 coins graded by PCGS with none finer at that service (10/10). Soft luster filters through rich patina, a mix of rose and blue on the obverse with navy and violet across the reverse. Strongly struck with just a handful of significant marks. The first-generation holder makes this coin's grade seem all the more impressive. A magnificent coin for the Seated specialist to consider.(Registry values: P5) (NGC ID# 23UD, PCGS# 5470)

I popped open one of the beers, put my boots up on the desk, turned up the volume on my monitor and followed my watch list and while I was outbid on my proof Walkers I got a winning bid on a 67+ CAC BTW. Shoot, anniversaries don't come much better than t
