1880 25C MS67 NGC....
Lovely 1880 Quarter, MS67 NGC1880 25C MS67 NGC. Ex: W.J Skiles Collection. Only 13,600 Quarters were produced at the Philadelphia mint in 1880, and surviving business strike examples are not easily found in top grades. NGC and PCGS combined have certified only 15 pieces at this grade level, with only 2 graded higher. This lovely specimen is nearly white, save for a touch of light brown color at the margins. The surfaces are remarkably well preserved, revealing just a small mark on Liberty's cheek, and another on the left arm. The fields are nearly prooflike, offering a nice contrast with the frosty motifs. The design elements are sharply struck throughout, further enhancing the eye appeal of this beautiful piece. Population: 8 in 67, 2 finer (12/04).(#5512) (Registry values: P1) (NGC ID# 23VC, PCGS# 5512)
