Description:
1881 25C MS64 NGC. Business strike Quarter production amounted to just 12,000 pieces in 1881, all of which were struck in the Philadelphia mint. This piece displays adequately struck devices, though some of the star centers are weak. The frosty surfaces look white at first glance, but further inspection reveals wisps of light brown color, especially on the reverse. A few minute handling marks are noted in the fields of each side.(#5513) (Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 23VD, PCGS# 5513)
