Description:
Exceptional Superb Gem 1882 Seated Quarter
1882 25C MS67 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. We have handled more proof Seated Quarters of this date than business strikes, not surprising since the original mintage of the latter delivery amounted to only 15,200 pieces. This older holder Superb Gem is smooth enough to warrant consideration at an even higher grade level. The luster is no less impressive than the surface preservation, both sides being fully frosted in texture with radiant cartwheel effects. With the exception of one or two of the obverse star centrils, every feature is fully brought up. Generally untoned throughout, with a single mentionable luster graze in the right obverse field. Population: 15 in 67, 0 finer (9/05).(#5514) (Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 23VE, PCGS# 5514)
