Description:
1887 25C MS65 NGC. As of (4/10), only the present business strike 1887 quarter has secured a Star designation from NGC. The reverse is prooflike, and the obverse is semi-prooflike. Medium autumn-gold toning dominates, although the borders offer olive toning. Only 10,000 pieces were struck, since Morgan dollars were coined in magnitude to satisfy Western silver interests.(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 23VK, PCGS# 5519)
