Description:
Lustrous Near-Gem 1916 Full Head Quarter
1916 25C MS64 Full Head PCGS. A noteworthy near-Gem Full Head example of this classic 20th century rarity. Only a small minority of the Uncirculated survivors of this important Standing Quarter issue qualify as possessing full head definition, fewer still warrant an MS64 rating. This example is essentially untoned, and exhibits booming luster. Strike definition is above average for the issue. In addition to the Full Head, the other design elements are also nicely detailed. All of the rivets are visible on the outer shield, albeit, several are quite weak. Likewise, the eagle's breast feathers are nicely defined. The surfaces on this specimen are impeccably preserved, with essentially no mentionable marks. Specimens possessing the attributes of this particular coin are few and far between.
