Description:
1917-S Type One Quarter
Premium Gem Full Head
Fully Struck
1917-S 25C Type One MS66 Full Head PCGS. CAC. Most 1917-S Type One quarter dollars come softly struck. The present Premium Gem offering is a refreshing exception. Not only is Liberty's head uncharacteristically fully delineated, but so are all date digits and shield rivets, and the eagle's plumage. Highly lustrous surfaces display occasional whispers of soft gold color, and just a couple of minuscule marks occur on the shield. Population: 67 in 66 (2 in 66+) Full Head, 9 finer (12/12).
From The Richard P. Ariagno, M.D. Collection.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 2433, PCGS# 5711)
