(1842-52) G$1 A. Bechtler Dollar, 27G. 21C. AU58 PCGS....
Lustrous AU58 A. Bechtler Gold Dollar, K-24(1842-52) G$1 A. Bechtler Dollar, 27G. 21C. AU58 PCGS. Plain Edge, K-24, R.3. The Bechtler coinage is historically interesting, antedating as it does by more than a decade the Mint's own issuance of its first gold dollars. This is an example of the 27.G. 21.C. issue, a fairly plentiful A. Bechtler dollar. The planchet shows a slight bend, but the green-gold surfaces reveal much luster clinging thereto. The reverse is rotated about 45 degrees clockwise, as often seen. Listed on page 350 of the 2008 Guide Book. (PCGS# 10040)
