Near-Mint State Kellogg & Co. Twenty Dollar1855 $20 Kellogg & Co. Twenty Dollar AU58 NGC. K-3, R.4. Long Arrows. Each of the arrowheads is differently shaped; the second 5 in the date comes from a different punch than the first (although this example has a scrape through the second 5). This issue shows virtually no trace of rub, chiefly limited to the top of the coronet on the obverse and on the eagle's head. The strike is soft, as often seen, on the left obverse and reverse, but pleasing on the right side and through the centers. There are only a couple of abrasions visible without a glass, and they are not specially deep or long. Yellow-gold obverse with a copper-gold reverse, choice for the grade and close to Mint State. Census: 14 in 58, 9 finer (12/05).
