First-Year Type Favorite
1854 $3 MS64 PCGS. A delightful near-Gem specimen, this coin represents the first year of the three dollar gold denomination. The design elements exhibit strong detail and the pleasing yellow and rose-gold surfaces display hints of green-gold along with vibrant satiny mint luster and only a few minor contact marks. PCGS has graded 31 numerically finer specimens (10/13).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# 25M3, PCGS# 7969)
