1854-O Three Dollar, AU531854-O $3 AU53 PCGS. Variety 2. The South coined the three dollar denomination only in 1854, at Dahlonega and New Orleans. Though the former issue is very costly, the 1854-O is collectible. This pumpkin-gold example is smooth aside from a single line on the right obverse field. The lapped dies state usual for the variety. Population: 49 in 53, 61 finer (12/13).
