1874 T$1 MS62 PCGS. Light smoke-gray patina coats both sides of this coin, an example of a "common" issue that is second only to the 1877, the high-water mark for Trade dollar coinage. Despite the large mintage, however, few examples of the 1874 survive in Mint State, since most of the mintage was shipped to China. This example is rather softly struck through the centers, and the obverse luster is subdued. A few miscellaneous abrasions are consistent with the MS62 grade.
