Low Mintage 1876 Trade Dollar in Near-Gem Condition1876 T$1 MS 64 NGC. A principal product of the branch mint in San Francisco, the Trade dollar was produced in fewer numbers in Philadelphia every year from 1873 through 1877. The present issue reports an original mintage of only 456,150 pieces, few of which have survived with smooth, fully lustrous features. This frosty-white near-Gem is free of both distracting abrasions and toning. The strike is razor sharp and the devices show above average detail for the series.
