Description

Colorful MS68 1943 Quarter
One of Two Finest at PCGS

1943 25C MS68 PCGS Secure. CAC. Despite a mintage of almost 100 million pieces, the key figures for the 1943 quarter -- at least for Registry Set collectors -- are "two by two." There are two NGC-graded MS68 examples in the Census Report, while the PCGS Population Report lists two MS68 pieces (11/12). Such staggering top-tier rarity creates high stakes for an elite example such as this richly toned coin, bountifully lustrous under peach-to-rose peripheral toning with blue, lavender-violet, and silver interior shadings. Between the PCGS Secure holder and CAC label, this is a rock-solid example of the issue.
