Description

Gorgeously Toned MS68 1948-S Quarter
Sole Finest PCGS-Graded Example

1948-S 25C MS68 PCGS Secure. CAC. This is yet another coin of the collection with technical appeal that is simple to sum up: Population: 1 in 68, 0 finer (11/12). Of course, as with all coins in this group, there is plenty to meet the eye beyond the numbers on the tag. Booming luster rolls under rich and all-encompassing patina, mostly in warm colors such as reddish-orange and rose-gold but with elements of green and blue as well. While the detail on Washington's upper wig is soft, not uncommon for this issue, the all-around eye appeal is as hard to top as the coin's magnificent preservation.
