A veritably important Kirin Dollar, of a date our firm has only witnessed once before as fine as is presented here. This series is of extreme conditional sensitivity, very rarely rising to any level of Mint State certification, let alone a Choice designation. Even within this particular variety, only 14 have been recognized and straight-graded; this being the second finest behind an unfathomable MS65 at NGC. With a generous silty patina gently muting mint brilliance, the piece on offer is best appreciated when viewed in-hand, and will certainly carry a significant premium when crossing the auction block.
