Tinges of golden color are seen throughout the lightly abraded silver-gray surfaces, along with some surviving luster. This variety is distinguished by a broken U in UNITED and a die crack from the reverse border just above 9 o'clock to the eagle's beak. This normally seen die state has an additional spindly die crack through the first five letters of UNITED.
