Rome, AD 177-178. •M•AVREL•ANTO-NINVS•AVG•, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius right, seen from behind / TR P XXXII•IMP-VIIII COS III•P P, Annona standing facing, head left, two ears of grain lowered in right hand, cradling cornucopia in left arm; modius of grain to left, prow of ship to right. Calicó 2019/2020 (same obverse die as 2020, but misdescribed in Calicó as draped, not cuirassed; and same reverse die as 2019). RIC III 389. An exquisite piece, with a superb portrait of the aged emperor. Shimmering, cartwheel luster with strong flowlines on obverse.
