Description
1652 3PENCE Pine Tree Threepence--Damaged--NCS. Fine Details. Noe-36, Crosby 2a-B, R.4. 15.6 grains. The reverse design is clear despite moderate charcoal-gray verdigris. Most of the pine tree is present on the obverse, and portions of MASA appear, but the rest of the legends are illegible, possibly because of exposure to heat. Listed on page 37 of the 2007 Guide Book.Ex: Altman Haffner Sale, 4/75, lot 648, which realized $180.
