1897-S Dollar, MS66 Prooflike PCGS
1897-S $1 MS66 Prooflike PCGS. Almost certainly not a Redfield coin, this piece lacks any of the characteristic bagginess commonly seen on the coins from that hoard. The surfaces overall are exquisite with flashy, mirrored fields and moderately frosted devices. Nearly abrasion-free, a hint of milky patina is seen in the right obverse field of this otherwise fully brilliant example. Easily one of the finest '97-S Prooflike dollars we have seen.
