Description

1877 G$1 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1877 gold dollar is a popular date primarily because of the cachet attached to the date and the many rare coins issued in this year. The gold dollar had a mintage of 3,900 pieces and it is scarce, but not as difficult as the 1876 or 1878. This is a lovely, reddish-tinged example that has the usual semiprooflike fields on each side. The striking details are sharp throughout, and there are no singularly mentionable abrasions on either side.
